Biography:

Andrew Bennett b. 1965- Australian

Influenced by surrealist painters like Magritte and Dali, Andrew Bennett's work presents itself as a conscious arrangement of still life objects and distant landscapes, contrasting immediate spaces with converging distances. A finalist in the 2008 Wynne prize, Bennett is currently among the stable of artists at Maunsell Wickes Gallery (Syd) and his paintings are held in private and public collections throughout Australia, East Asia and Europe.
