This sculpture was created by Rolly Steele-Whareham by the lost wax method in his own furnace and equipment in Nhulunbuy N.T in the middle 1980’s.

The Frilly Dragon, Number 3 of 4. is mounted on a custom made timber base that is felt backed.

Sculpture is 40 cm long and at its widest
19 cm. Head of Dragon is
37 cm high including the base
and spread across the frill is 35 cm.

Rolly Steele-Whareham sold some of his sculptures to the N.T. government including the bust of Mr. Conlan an Aviator pioneer in the NT on display at the Alice Spring Airport.

Rolly Steele-Whareham is now deceased.
