Bernard Dunstan b.1920 Teddington, London, UK
Painter, Educator, Academic

Bernard Dunstan is a celebrated British artist who is considered a leading contemporary impressionist painter by both associates and collectors. Influenced stylistically by Bonnard, Renior and Vulliard, Dunstan's impressionistic style of painting award his audience with beautiful, serene translations of interiors, landscapes and individuals. These translations highlight Dunstan's personal concern toward human perception of changing light sources. His scholastic resume includes training the seminal Slade School of Fine Art, London where he studied from 1939 to1941. It was directly after this period of study that Dunstan commenced his major period of activity, yet he continues to create works today. Dunstan's work is held in several private and public collections such as the National Portrait Gallery, Museum of London and the Royal Collections.
